The short version. Your step data is read on your iPhone and stays on your iPhone. We don't sell anything to anyone, we don't run ad trackers, and if you email us to be deleted, you're deleted.
Tomolume asks permission to read your step count from Apple Health. That number is used on your device to work out how much warmth to send Lumi. We do not upload your Health data to our servers, and we never share it with third parties. You can revoke the permission at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Tomolume, and the game will keep working — it just won't have anything new to count.
If you give us your email address on this website, it goes to Buttondown, our newsletter provider, and is used only to send you news about Tomolume. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. We don't sell, rent, or trade the list.
Our beta tester community is hosted on a third-party community platform. If you join it, that platform collects its own account data under its own privacy policy. What you post there is visible to other members of the community and to us.
Tomolume is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll remove it.
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it entirely — including your account and all game progress. Email hello@tomolume.com and we'll take care of it. Deletion is permanent; we can't bring your companions back afterwards.
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app and in the newsletter before it takes effect.
